Since 1963, we have been developing pioneering transport solutions for cars, bicycles, and more. & Outdoor adventures. We were founded in 1963 by Eberhard Tittel as Autoteile Ravensburg and, as the Atera brand, we stand for safe mobility.

But we soon expanded our product range. Our passion for transport innovation drove us to become one of the first in the market to develop roof rack systems in 1972. Since then, we have continued to evolve. Atera roof racks were followed by innovative bike racks, modern roof boxes, and a wide range of transport solutions. German engineering since 1963.

We voluntarily undergo annual audits by independent institutions such as TÜV to confirm our high quality standards. Atera products are developed in Germany according to the guidelines of DIN ISO TS 16949. Our development and manufacturing processes follow the strict standards of DIN ISO 75302 and DIN ISO 75303 for maximum reliability.

At Atera, we are actively committed to protecting and preserving our environment. Sustainability is more than a promise to us—we live it every day. As a pioneer in our industry, we have implemented a comprehensive, DIN EN ISO 14001-certified environmental management system. We have this system audited annually by TÜV and continuously optimize it.

All Atera carrier systems are developed in Germany and manufactured in Europe. Beyond legal standards, all our products meet the requirements of the international automotive industry and are therefore of the same quality level as your vehicle (DIN ISO TS 16949 and DIN ISO 9001). Our product manufacturing also meets the high quality requirements of German and international standards – our products are manufactured according to DIN guidelines (DIN ISO 75302 and DIN ISO 75303). Furthermore, our production is subject to German environmental protection regulations.
